    Also, the one die penallry is that much a deterent for werewolves dealingwith people. They seems a little to eager or too savage but that wont be picked up all the time. If theyre skilled or have gifts that compliment that, theyre good and it wont matter much.
  2. I have this odd idea for the beginnings of a mage game that I may be beginning in my area. At the moment I have Boston Unveiled, Tome of mysteries, Free council book and the core. I’m looking for the major plot to be discovering the effects of a sort of infectious paradox, incredible powerful, like as in arch-mastery spell gone wrong or a arch master selceteis mage's spell gone right. So far I'v got for inspiration the show Threshold and a lovecraft story, The colour from Outerspace as well. It would manifest as a sort of minor, unknown, and unrecognizable mind control in the beginning stages then moving on to giving powers to infected as well as madness or skewing of their minds. These range from simple high stats, extra health, spirits powers, increased paradox, minor control over paradox and even minor rotes. The infection targets all life and even places breaking down space and time and the gauntlet as or if it progresses that far. It can both subtle and obvious in the paradox’s methods and planning. The paradox would have a guiding consciousness of some sort, remnants of the original casters mind. Im thinking that the paradox would move in stages as it effects the entire area, provided that the characters arent able to stop it before these crises points. These points would be brought as the number of individual infected people increase. well give me any ideas thoughts, comments twists or anything else that can help me organize and elaborate on this concept would be greatly appriciated

    Well, Im going to start a were-wolf chronicle. Tuesday nights are most likely time that they'd be set, although that is not set. Im in GMT -5. The story will be based in Savannah, GA. Its a large tourist town and has a high crime level. Its known as "Da Murda Capitial" It is also home to a large art school, SCAD. This is a real city. You'll be starting off pre-change. Ill give a few bonus merits afterward, and during play. No requirements on characters, none one tribes or auspices. The characters are problaly young but dont let that stop you from thinking up a cool character. THERE WILL BE A 5 PLAYER MAX. The area is a decent sized city, and is well known for the way one side off the street is a ghetto and the other is a rich neighborhood.     thanks for the relplies anyquestions youve got or inconstances or ideas youve got after reading would help well here's the little ive got so far there are no pathes, all people have the possiblity be a mage, but mosts' souls are almost completely asleep. Only with a fully awakened soul can one glimps the truth of reality andeffect it through strength of will. This sleeping part is who the mage truly is at his core when aware of the fact he can exert control over reality. This is the mage's avatar, or something else more suiting. The mage doesnt awaken to this previously unknown with out mishaps. After a life time of banal reality the small part of the now mages soul is somewhat at odds with the rest of the soul. Souls change very slowly if ever and so do the avatar. The type of arcana and style mages use for magic tend to be much more easily evident in the avatar. When mages first awaken they chose 2 arcana that best suit the image and purpose of your mage and these are common. Either the play or St choses one arcana that doesnt fir and name that inferior. The soul can change but not the ruling arcana as this represents the difficulty in changing yourself. Avatars are creatures of the soul and the souls energy Mana and are often over the top immbodiements. The more mana a mage spends the avatar tends to become more prominate in the personality. The extent the mind and soul rejects the avatar limits the degree to which they can see Truly and Wisely. The soul needs to be freed from self deniels and denying the avatar denys part of the soul. Denying the part of the soul that is of the 'normal world' and that sees the need for it.(e.i using magic for everything or losing toach with the reality without magic). Delibratly weaking or splitting, the aware magic self by making soulstones. All men could eventually be seekers of truth and to bind, damage, or kill also weaken the unity of the soul. Simply put there are 3 trends that wisdom sins take -basic human ones the ones from morality, ones from denying the soul that needs reality or impose your reality thoughtlessly on others, or the one that lessens or denys the avatar of magic self. At really low wisdom(3-0) the the avatar and normal soul can become atagonistic towards each other.

    i like them both, i really like the way of selfishness, hhmm i like it but i think that humors are still pretty much based in the human body representing the elemental power transfered through some bit of humanity. but if introspection and selfishness coupled together give focus on self to the point of fault at some times that would work with wood element and change...ok the ideas are back. the bestowment works and would fit, i think i have to go back and tweak
  13. ok im a realitivly new gamer and my experience is pretty much restricted too nWod and exalted 2.0 but from what ive managed to hear and pick up in the origanal Mage, mages had an avatar..what limited ideas ive heard sound intresting but ive heard next to nothing so im asking here.im looking for any information on them. im intested in implamenting them in a pathless mage game in which im taking the most rules but using completly differnt setting and history. any info on them would help me alot.
  14. Flawed Combat system

    there is alot of differnce between anyone with any sort of combat training and one with none. splitting the hit and damage doesnt make the ax hit any less devestating just harder to hit. the reach of larger weapon is off somewhat by the fact theyre heavy and hard aim effectivly, unless you know how. any untrain person with sword while can make a hell of a bigger cut with sword wont know how to hit as well using it. that said unless your using a lot of combat or want to it more smooth or using big weapons. but if your going to then i would suggest either splitting weapon equipment bonus between to hit and damage or adding a to hit with out reducing damge at all making combat more deadly... and a bit more stratgeic... either way theres no right or wronge way

    well actually my inspiration was the game planescape: torment it sorta changed from the origenal idea rather quickly. most inspiration comes interanlly for me. They are really introspective and drawn to change...the hundred handed claim several that walk the pilgramage still. cant work on them much. part of two plays, school, work and recording so its on back burners right now
