  1. A very different take, the titan Prometheus

Prometheus gave Man fire, against the strict orders of his superiors. He overstepped his bounds. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is subtitled: "The Modern Prometheus", because the doctor played God, and created life. He overstepped his bounds. Promethean, therefore, would be taken to mean "one who oversteps his bounds". Someone with the power to play God. Someone who could bring about horrible, miraculous or otherwise revolutionary change -- but doesn't really have permission (or know what he's doing, necessarily). A game with this premise, I suppose, would focus on playing a character who has a jar full of lightning, and must choose whether or not to open the lid. My two cents.
  2. Revenge of the Sith

Two possibilities here: 1) He doesn't remember because Anakin Skywalker was for the most part *consumed* by Darth Vader, and so he doesn't remember C3P0 because Vader didn't build it -- Skywalker did. 2) He *does* remember, but doesn't give a shit. After all, it's only a protocol droid. I remember the first computer I ever built, but I don't really care about where it happens to be right now. It was a lump of crap.
  3. Which "Dead" Game is Your Favorite?

Yes, yes. But WHY? Tell meeee.... *shakes fist*
  4. Which "Dead" Game is Your Favorite?

There's a reason for this poll: this is actually a Husk thread. If you don't know what Husk is, it's here. Read and enjoy. Please justify your answer as best you can -- it'll help me to know where most peoples' interests lie in writing future work. Thank you, sirs and madams.

  6. Explain your avatar!

Move to Canada! We have beer, and our movies come out on time. Far be it from me to provoke anything.
  7. Explain your avatar!

Of course you do. Your icon makes me want to do bad, bad things. Truly sinful business.
  8. The Breakfast-thread

I can't eat before noon, or I'll get sick. Coffee and juice is the only thing I can ingest before that, though I usually eat a huge lunch and cook a big supper. My toddler eats breakfast, and knows I don't. Other than that, she keeps my feeding schedule pretty rigid -- if it wasn't for her, I'd likely forget to eat for several days, because I get wrapped up in what I'm doing. I'm absent-minded like that.
  9. What's your superpower?

I don't need a quiz to tell me what my superpower is. I've known for some time now. Moliate. Nuff said.
  10. Explain your avatar!

It's Marv, from Sin City. I like him because he's the perfect sympathetic asshole. Deep down he's a good guy, but he's meaner'n a sumbitch.
  11. livejournal

You know I do. I'm an LJ junkie. I wonder why it's so addictive. Could it be that LJ is the equivalent of intellectual voyeurism?
  12. The 4th game for WOD

Note the quotes in my above statement. I'll repeat them. "A Storytelling game of Personal Horror." "A Storytelling game of Savage Horror." "A Storytelling game of Passion and Horror." Horror. Not fantasy. If you want to get into the strict definition of what fantasy IS, then yes, WW is about fantasy, as is every piece of fiction ever written or produced. But these books, chiefly, are about horror.
  13. The 4th game for WOD

Yes, but the statement made was that WW is about fantasy, and NOT horror, which is WRONG. Horror is always first.
  14. How many SnE-forumites use glasses?

    Ditto.
  15. The 4th game for WOD

Hmmm... Vampire: Storytelling game of Personal Horror." Werewolf: Storytelling game of Savage Horror." Wraith: "Storytelling game of Passion and Horror." The only game that mentions "modern fantasy" is Changeling -- and I can see why you like it so much -- but your statement is flatly incorrect.
